News from the D23 Expo

If you’re not familiar with the D23 Expo, then you’re in the right place!  First of all, D23 is the ultimate Disney fan club.  The name D23 refers to D for Disney and the year 1923, when Walt Disney arrived in California and founded the company.  They hold the D23 Expo every two years in Anaheim, California.  The expo is held in the Anaheim Convention Center, within walking distance of Disneyland. Beat the Heat with the Water Parks at Walt Disney World

We all know that Florida can get HOT in the summer months, and there’s no better way to cool off than at one of Disney’s water parks.  Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are water parks that are not to be missed!  There is so much to see and do at these water parks that I recommend planning a free day to visit (or two to visit each one!). At Blizzard Beach there are three main areas with attractions to enjoy.  They have the green, purple and red slopes.  Each area has their own unique attractions for the family.  I love [...]

Tips for a Rainy Day in Walt Disney World

The weather doesn't always cooperate on your vacations. Since Walt Disney World is in Florida, you will get some rain showers there, especially in the summer months. It's usually a quick shower, so it's not enough to ruin your day. But there are two ways to handle a rainy day in Disney.  You can either head back to your resort, or brave the raindrops and still have fun! I always say that a rainy day in Walt Disney World is better than a sunny day almost anywhere else! You can either let a little rain (or sometimes a lot!) ruin your entire day, [...]

Family Vacations-Why Disney?

I’ve always felt that family vacations are a very important part of raising a family.  Taking a family vacation allows everyone, parents and children, to relax and forget about the stresses and distractions of normal life.  Our favorite family vacation is a Disney vacation.  Whether we go to Disney World, Disneyland or on a Disney cruise, the magic really allows us to connect as a family like no other place. When our family travels to Disney World, the magic takes over the instant we begin to walk down Main Street.  There’s just something about seeing that castle that takes us [...]
