Dining Options at Beaches Turks & Caicos

One of my favorite parts of an all-inclusive vacation is the amazing dining that the resorts offer. I have been in a beautiful resort, but if the dining was just so-so, or if there weren't many options to choose from, it affects the vacation experience. With Beaches Turks & Caicos, you definitely don't have to worry about that! This resort offers many different dining options, so you will be sure to find something that you love! Here is a list of all of the restaurants that you can enjoy on your next visit to Beaches Turks & Caicos: Courtyard Bistro [...]

Water Sports at the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort

Last week I gave you an overview of this amazing resort, but there is so much more to tell you!! One of the things that sets Beaches resorts apart from other resorts is their water sports program. First of all, almost ALL of the water sports are included in the price of your Sandals and Beaches vacation! That is definitely different than other all-inclusive resorts, and can save you a lot of money, especially if you are interested in scuba diving! Beaches Turks & Caicos offers so many water sports that you won't be able to try them all! We [...]

All You Need to Know About Beaches Turks & Caicos

I have visited the Beaches Turks & Caicos resort on two previous business trips, but this was the first time the entire family visited. I have been so excited to take my family on this vacation, and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend any Beaches resort for your next family vacation, but this one is my favorite! If you're not familiar with the Beaches brand of resorts, they are the same company as Sandals resorts. Sandals is for couples, and Beaches is for families. There are three Beaches resorts, one in the Turks & Caicos and two in Jamaica. [...]

Tips for a Rainy Day in Walt Disney World

The weather doesn't always cooperate on your vacations. Since Walt Disney World is in Florida, you will get some rain showers there, especially in the summer months. It's usually a quick shower, so it's not enough to ruin your day. But there are two ways to handle a rainy day in Disney.  You can either head back to your resort, or brave the raindrops and still have fun! I always say that a rainy day in Walt Disney World is better than a sunny day almost anywhere else! You can either let a little rain (or sometimes a lot!) ruin your entire day, [...]

Family Vacations-Why Disney?

I’ve always felt that family vacations are a very important part of raising a family.  Taking a family vacation allows everyone, parents and children, to relax and forget about the stresses and distractions of normal life.  Our favorite family vacation is a Disney vacation.  Whether we go to Disney World, Disneyland or on a Disney cruise, the magic really allows us to connect as a family like no other place. When our family travels to Disney World, the magic takes over the instant we begin to walk down Main Street.  There’s just something about seeing that castle that takes us [...]

Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Park

Volcano Bay is the newest park at Universal Studios Orlando. This water park opened on May 25, 2017, and is very near to the Cabana Bay resort. You can actually walk to Volcano Bay from the Cabana Bay resort. If you are staying at one of the other Universal resorts (Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, Royal Pacific or Sapphire Falls) then you will need to take a complimentary shuttle bus from your resort to Volcano Bay. Tickets The first thing to realize is that you will need a 3 park ticket if you want to include Volcano Bay on your next [...]

What makes the Disney Cruise Line the Best for Families?

If you're thinking of a family cruise, there's nothing better than a Disney cruise! There are a few things that set the Disney Cruise Line above the other cruise lines. For most itineraries, the Disney Cruise Line is more expensive than other cruise lines, but the extra cost is well worth it. These are the main reasons that I love the Disney Cruise Line: The staterooms. The staterooms on a Disney cruise ship are larger than on most other cruise lines. That help when you've got your children with you and lots of luggage to store. But the main thing [...]

Top 10 Attractions that You Absolutely Need a FastPass for

Always get a FastPass for Toy Story Mania If you're not familiar with the FastPass system at Walt Disney World, that is the best way to avoid waiting in long lines for the most popular attractions. Not every attraction offers FastPass, but it's really important to plan your FastPass selections well. In your My Disney Experience account you can choose up to 3 options for each day you are in the park. In our last newsletter, we talked about not wasting a FastPass on rides that you don't need one. But it is probably more important to make [...]

Don’t Waste a FastPass on these Walt Disney World Attractions

One of the best ways to avoid standing in long lines at Walt Disney World is to use the FastPass system. If you haven't been to Walt Disney World in a while, things have changed! Instead of running all over the parks to get your next FastPass, you can now preselect 3 attractions per day of your stay. I love this system, because it means that you don't have to get to the park super early to get into Toy Story Mania or Space Mountain like you used to. For guests staying at a Disney resort, you can begin selecting [...]
