Disney has done it again! If you haven’t heard yet, Toy Story Land opened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on June 30. This amazing new land will transport you into Andy’s backyard, and make you feel as if you are one of the toys hanging out with Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
There are two new attractions in Toy Story Land, in addition to Toy Story Mania which has always been a fan favorite. The new attractions are:
Slinky Dog Dash is a family friendly coaster that takes you on a ride as Slinky Dog’s coils twist and turn. You must be at least 38 inches to enjoy this attraction.
On Alien Swirling Saucers the aliens have powered up their flying saucers to take you on a wild ride into space. And if you’re lucky, you might even get chosen by “The Claw”!! You must be at least 32 inches to ride Alien Swirling Saucers
Woody’s Lunch Box is the new dining location in Toy Story Land. This is a quick service restaurant, and the menu looks yummy! This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy a breakfast bowl or a S’more French Toast sandwich for breakfast, or a BBQ Brisket Melt or a Monte Cristo for lunch or dinner. And don’t forget to try a Mystic Portal Punch (or a Grown-Up Lemonade for you parents!) to quench your thirst.
In addition to the new attractions and dining, Toy Story Land offers character interactions with Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the Green Army Patrol from the Toy Story movies. And of course there are opportunities to buy your favorite Toy Story merchandise. Disney is offering Toy Story ears that look really fun!
Remember that this is only the first part of the expansion of Hollywood Studios. Star Wars Land is scheduled to open in the fall of 2019. With these exciting new things happening, Hollywood Studios should definitely be on your “must-do” list!
